Magic Bands offsite then onsite

We are going to Florida for 21 nights next year and are staying for 18 nights offsite then the last three days staying at Disney for the final three nights.

I have purchased Disney tickets through Orlando attractions.

Question 1. How will the fast pass system work? Do we just have the 30 days advanced booking system to work from and then the 60 day system for the three nights were staying on Disney?

Question 2. I don't want to purchase one lot of magic bands only to be provided with new bands at the end of our stay. Can we collect our magic bands early for the parks when we arrive or do we need to wait for the bands to be given to us when we check in?

Hope this makes sense as im really confused.

All FPs for your off site days have to be booked on a rolling basis of 30 days. Your 3 on site days can be booked in ONE go for FPs.

In a word - NO! You can only get the bands on check in at your resort. You could buy bands for your off site period but why bother?

If you can flip it to start at Disney, you'd get more perks. Namely that FPs would be on a rolling 60 day basis for the rest of your ticket. And you'd have your MBs up front so you could them the entire time instead of having to get tickets out to tap.

You will be able to book all your fastpasses 60 days before your check in date. The 18 days offsite will be within your 60 days window so you will be able to book these.

Unfortunately, you'll need to wait for the bands to be given to you when you check in. You can't pick them up earlier.

If you had an address in the USA, then you could get the MagicBands delivered to there about 10 days before your check in date.

I emailed Disney a year or so ago about magic bands and they said that you can pick them up from your resort a couple of days before you check in. We are staying at AoA for 3 nights midway through our 21 night stay and are just going to lump it with the tickets for FPP and then use MBs for rest of stay.
