MNSSHP query

If you are already in Magic Kingdom during the day of this event do you have to leave the park at 6.00pm if you don't have a ticket for MNSSHP? Seem to remember wrist bands but cannot remember if the park closed early and then reopened for this event?

I don't think it closes and reopens, just from 6pm (maybe 7pm?) only people with the MNSSHP wristbands will get access to anything in the park, so regular day guests filter out until eventually only party guests remain. There will be announcements that the park is due to close for the party prior to 6pm.

No you just stay all day. We rode a few rides and used our fast passes early afternoon and there was people hanging around giving the wristbands out after about 4pm. We had an early tea about 5 then got changed to costumes in the rest room which I’m glad of as the quick service places were so busy during party time and I’d be gutted to be wasting it queuing for food!

Yes they set up stations within the park and outside for you to collect your party wristband at 4pm if you have a party ticket so no need to leave the park .
They then direct all Party wristband people entering the park from 4pm down the back entrance near the town hall as they start to clear day guests down Main Street and out of the park for 6pm They start to rope off areas as well if I remember about 5ish ( last fastpass booking time ) and you can only get through if wearing a wristband , same for rides and adrs after 6pm. It doesn’t close but you won’t get anywhere without a wristband .
