Perhaps they are talking about booking cruises with Princess line. That company and one or two others will not let anyone from the UK book through a US source. They know that UK people will have to pay more and they make them do just that. I don't really like those ethics and so I would not cruise with them.
Princess was an option for Alsakan cruise for us next May, not now if they won't let you book, I am not paying UK prices.
