Dear Jen,

would you mind me asking if you went on your own? (You used "I" not "we"). I am thinking of going, i would be on my own, but I am not sure whether I would "fit in".

Thanks

Linda

We're in 6634, or is it 6134 in October for our 3 night cruise. We were told these rooms were better than the similar ones on deck 7 as the overhang onto the verandah is smaller, making your balcony view better.

I'll be using mine in the mornings for a glass of juice and in the evenings for a glass of something else!

Hi Linda, nope not going on my own. It's just I'm the organiser and the others just go along with me lol. I will be going with my wee brother, older sister and her son. We've booked two staterooms, my sis and nephew are in a cat 12 and me and little bro are in cat 7.

From reading posts on other forums there are certainly people who go themselves on cruises. Having been on a 4 night, I do not think you would have any problem fit in. Infact any times that I wanted just some 'me' time there was always someone chatting to me. And at meals you would be sharing your table, perhaps, with other people who were also travelling alone as DCL like to join up like minded people.

Thanks to everyone's replies as I have booked room 6634 and very much looking forward to it

Another thumbs up from me too

We did not miss having a verandah at all on our first short cruise (too busy! ) but it was great to have one on the 7 night.

It made the cabin feel alot roomier -almost like having a second room really.

We chose to spend a fair bit of time on our own 'private space', away from the crowds above, just chilling and watching the world go by... and had room service breakfast out there every day (we could not cope with having a big breakfast, time or food wise, on top of so much other food through out the day).

As we had seen most of the shows the first cruise we took, we had no real desire to see them all again (certainly not all of them anyway !) and so had more 'free time' to enjoy our balcony.

I'd definitely recommend it if you are able to stretch to one.

This is exactly how I feel. And as we are staying at a value resort at WDW as we spend very little time in the room. However on the cruise, it is more relaxing and the room is definitely my chill out space. Even doing some dibbing out there. And after all that marching around the parks, we need some luxury whilst cruising
