I had something similar while in Orlando last month.
Ruined a good chunk of my holiday as I just couldn’t really focus properly or enjoy rides, also made me feel so queasy . I didn't go to the gp as it had passed by the time I got home but did mention it on here and a few were saying labyrinthitis which seemed to fit , specifically viral labyrinthitis . I wasn’t really sure what set it off until one morning I was getting my clothes for day out of a bottom drawer and moved my head to look down in a swift movement and then that was it for the next few hours of the day -dizziness, mistepping (which was highly annoying) and sickness . Was very careful after that with no sudden movements. I’d go to your gp . Hope you feel better soon Edited at 09:52 PM. |

Sounds like what I’ve had a couple of times recently - Benign Paroxysmal positional vertigo. It’s the displacement of a crystal in your ear. The Epley Manoeuvre fixes it. Luckily there’s an ENT specialist GP at my dr surgery so I’ve seen him both times and it’s fixed there and then. Now I know how to do the manoeuvre if it happens again.
Of course - you must go to your GP to get it checked out to make sure it’s nothing serious

I am also a Meniere's sufferer! Have been diagnosed for around 10 years and the attacks, brain fog, hearing loss, tinnitus is awful but the worst part for me is the dizziness.
To the OP - Please go to the doctors and get it checked out, as others have said it could be a long list of things and fingers crossed something that can be easily treated.

Yeah, doctor. I had something similar, doc thought labarynthitis or BPPV. Or even menieres. All of which can be treated .
Disclosure... when you go to the doctor they might possibly order an MRI but don't worry about it I had one to rule out other things I still suffer occasionally but mine turned out to be FND (functional neurological disorder) and vestibular migraines. My doctor here had never heard of both |

I have just been diagnosed with Vestibular migraines as well - just going through the process of changing medication and finding the right solution - apart from medication can you give any advice or tips for this?
Also have Meniere's, unfortunately with that there is no magic cure and a life long illness that most suffer the effects of everyday - Can Vestibular Migraine be controlled so no symptoms everyday?

Best to write when and where it's happening and how frequently.
Could be signs of tinnitus as well, which is what I think I'll be eventually diagnosed with. Try ginger root tablets, or even ginger biscuits, helps immensely with calibrating your brain to tell it there is nothing seriously wrong. I hate ginger but it works brilliantly

Have you considered visiting your optician I case it’s visual. May be an idea particularly as you mention it happens if you look in a certain direction.
It’s good to rule things out |

Mine is normally when by blood pressure drops dramatically, only lasts a few seconds though. I’m on medication to control it from the GO however if I do too much it can drop quickly and take a wee while to readjust back to normal. Or when on a roller coaster or at a height. Hence my aversion to both heights and coasters and ToT is definitely off the list of must do’s these days.
