Every time I start cleaning the Venetian blinds we have I wish we hadn’t got them.
I love them but they take ages to clean properly so I do them over 2 days now

I put a mattress protector in the tumble drier once - I won't be making that mistake again as it melted!

We've been decorating during lockdown - it makes you want to more and more rooms!

We have a leather 3-piece now but remember doing this with our last sofa - and ruining my nails in the process several times!
It is a nice feeling to have freshly laundered covers though. Speaking of which, I still need to wash my cushion covers.

Clearing out the loft. We're about 40% of the way through according to DS2 and so far we have 27 boxes of books to go back up

At least they're catalogued now so we can find them.

Yes, painting the decking thinking it would take 2 coats, when in reality it needed 3!
Never again 😂

Sanding the stairs... the varnish is still sitting in the hall... taunting me.

Yep, seems we're moving through the whole house decorating and sprucing up during lockdown. Downstairs toilet/porch done (needs ripping out, but just lick of paint and new floor etc for now). Dining/kitchen re-decorated. Started on upstairs bathroom (again needs ripping up but it's just getting a paint/tidy up, new floor etc to last a couple of years), started on our bedroom, which looks like something from the 1970s at the mo...

But as the weather is so nice, I've moved outside, to what was essentially a dumping ground. It's going to be a nice seating area... But I'm so sorry I started! The previous owners used a hideous weird paint that's peeling off, but scrapers and jet wash isn't removing it. It's really thick and hard, but curling and separating from the wall behind. Proving to be a total nightmare... (We do intend to rip down that shed and make our garage behind it drive-through and build a bigger garage in the field sized garden we have, but again, that's a few years down the line, so a spruce-up for now!)

Work in progress outside:
