Hi how many in your party. We stayed twice in a great Airbnb on chestnut st with free of street parking. This was on the other side of park from FW 15 min Walk or 3/4 mins taxi. Chestnut st is a thriving area with nice shops bars restaurants , nice area for meal etc, and short walk to Disney museum.

Another vote for HI express at FW . The free breakfast is a great bonus. Nothing special but great to grab coffee and pastries from as SF is not a cheap place to visit.
As a treat though try mamas-sf/# for breakfast. It's only a 10-15 min walk but be prepared to queue! |

Not been yet but we are due to go September, if it comes off we are booked into handerley hotel in union square. Like I said not been yet but it was one of the very few hotels that had rooms with twin beds( 10 blokes all starting a motorcycle road trip so don’t want to share a double bed)

Hi like most airports there is a train link to the city but after a long flight would probably take a taxi.

We got a Lyft same idea as Uber but I find them slightly cheaper! It was just under $40 from memory .

We’ve stayed at the Argonaut twice, lovely but pricey. The Holiday Inn Fisherman’s Wharf once, fine. SF is expensive for hotels

The BART is easy to use if you are staying near Union Square, but not Fisherman's Walk.

Buena Vista Motor Inn on Lombard Street was excellent when we stayed there. Free parking (a big plus!), huge and very comfortable room, free but minimal breakfast and a lovely rooftop terrace with Golden Gate Bridge in the distance. Walking distance of the Wharf, close to bus stops. Would go again

Wings is a pre bookable service for getting from the airport if you would prefer that.
