I ways wonder how much of it is down to the editing. He could be rabbiting on but just not chosen for the edit 🤷

I do sometimes wonder the extent to which the viewers perceptions are shaped by the edit.

I saw a picture yesterday with a time schedule on it. They don’t finish the trial until about 12:45am. I guess it’s like they are on a different time zone. Sleeping late and working late.

With Shane it’s all a front to be honest, he’s using the persona he’s known as. He was very full of himself years ago, but he’s really really mellowed in the last few years, he’s quite quiet. He’s a genuinely nice person, but we feel he’s playing Alfie through this. He’s in work mode for sure.

Presumably that will be very hard to keep up long term? He must be a very good actor then as he comes across as very genuine, albeit in the slightly forced, over jolly way that lots of people get in a situation when there is suddenly a new group to navigate through. I'm the opposite. I tend to go silent and build up a head of steam. I suspect that a few of the camp are like that.

In past years it's often been the quiet dark horse that wins the race and the more obvious choice coming second. Public mood seems to shift very fast !

We were chatting about whether he would let the mask slip. It’s draining to keep it up that’s for sure! That’s what I mean, it is slightly forced. I’m similar to him in that I’ve got a good front when I need it. Social situations I’m useless, work situations “fake it, till you make it”, and I’m good at it. When I interviewed for my travel job they said “you didn’t come across nervous”. I had thrown up with nerves that morning. I’m a swan in those situations, calm/bubbly/happy/on it on the outside. Panicking like nothing inside like their legs under 🚿 water 😂.

He’s genuinely lovely, typical “alright darling” when you see him, but he’s very quiet, is remember the first time I worked with him being surprised at how quiet he was. Now I just expect it. He hasn’t always been like that, OH said he was a **** the first two times he worked with him (before my time!).
