This thread has persuaded me to book Cornwall for May half term. Much better prices than the summer and I’m thinking May may just be that little bit too soon for ‘easy’ overseas travel with 2 kids! Some fab ideas for trips out with our 2 kids who will be 8 and 4 👍

We have booked the St Ives Bay Holiday Park, it looks ideal for us. We’re not keen on the big haven places and love that it’s next to the beach (with a Lidl and McDonald’s close by by the looks of it!)

There's a co op food just down the road too or there was last time we went a few years ago! They have a surf school right on the beach your kids might be interested in

The McDonalds is a drive as you have to cross the very busy A30.

Hayle itself has a Lidl, a big Asda, numerous Pasty shops/bakeries, Indian, Chinese etc.

The really good bit is your close proximity to the A30 and thus the ease with which you can get to most other places in Cornwall.

One other place I forgot to mention is Paradise Park, that has an awful lot of birds.

Yes my son had seen that and wanted a go! Fingers crossed for some good beach weather!
