Worried and feel sick on what should have been a happy day

My nephew is here. My sister in law had to be induced as there were complications with her liver but we just got a text to let us know that he is here but it went wrong. She ended up with an emergency c-section and now baby Alfie is in critical care with a fractured skull.

I’ve mentioned on here before that I hated my eldests birth as everything went wrong and ended up with emergency section and I found it difficult to deal with now she’s just gone through the same but worse!
I got my baby in my arms when I woke she hasn’t and I can’t even help her or talk to her as she’s not got her phone on, her partner has only sent the one text. No one else can go to hospital to support her. We all just feel helpless.

We are all so worried now for the baby. We don’t even know what kind of fracture so don’t know if we are getting more worried than we need to be.

Oh how worrying!
How on earth have they fractured his skull doing a c section?!
I've had 2 emergency c sections and to be honest I think it was worse for everyone else than me!
Both mine went in NICU straight away as well. When you are there and going though it I think you are less worried as you just want your baby looking after.

It’s a stressful time when you can’t be there and you don’t know what is happening.
