I prefer animals to people

Another good question from the OP.

I talk to my dog a lot , he’s having a hard time at the moment. I’d choose people normally but I would choose my dog over many people at the moment, if that makes sense.

My dog is clearly more dependable and means the world to me.

They can be so loyal & loving... however, depending on their mood, the person interacting with them, what you’ve offered them for dinner, the time of day or just because they can, they can be the most miserable spiteful bu**ggers on earth.

I guess that’s why I adore them; their ability to switch from “cuddle me, hug me” to “get the hell away from me” 😃

I like dogs and cats but I have to admit I admire a cats attitude and independence. Dogs can be a bit too needy sometimes (sorry!).

When I am in my oldest son’s house though one of their cats talks to me non stop. We talk away to each other and ignore everyone else. I love it.

I cant see me ever living in a house without animals. Although at the same time I sometimes think about what its like to have the freedom of somebody without them!

We are now those people for the first time in my entire life. I used to dread Holidays because I felt so guilty and certainly would not have gone for even three weeks. I do have granddogs, grandcats and even grandrabbits tho, oh and the squirrels and birds in the garden - who I worry about when we go on holiday!

You are as bad as me. I feel really guilty abandoning the garden birds when we go away! We now have a squirrel also so have to keep the peanuts topped up.

I think about my cats all the time when we are away. Already feeling guilty about the fact we are planning to go to florida for 3wks next time - nothing is even booked yet and I feel bad! 🙈
