400 many people do circular routes as it cuts down on driving to many of the main sites and stops having the need to retrace your steps

I found flying into one airport and out of another maximised how much we saw rather than the circular tours. We’ve done it various ways but I tend to get similar flight prices whether in/out of the same airport or not. It does vary though!

Are you tied to summer hols?
I searched extensively multiple times a day and could never get a decent price for LAX. For some reason it remained high for a lot of us this summer.
I would have much preferred to have flown into SFO and out of LAX or even better SAN but not at the prices they wanted so had to do a round trip. Was annoying as we effectively wasted a night in Bakersfield to break up the journey to Yosemite

I’ve still not booked mine for August yet, after reading the advice on here I’m probably going to leave it until Jan now and hopefully get some in sales. We are family of 5 but finding prices over £800 for us from Manchester at the moment!

I’ve already booked some hotels on cancellable rates so hoping the flights prices will come down.

Yes think we will be doing the same. I’ve started to look at booking hotels on free cancellation rates too.

Not booked our flights as daughter’s BF can’t book his holidays for next year until January, was going to go for three weeks but may now have to go down to two. Looking to fly into SFO and back from LAX
