Car hire recommendation

Sorry guys I can't find it anywhere in the threads below, is there a recommendation for a person who can get decent car rental deals before I book direct with Alamo for car hire in California

We have always found Alamo/Brits to be the cheapest when we have booked.

Always used them for our trips to Florida but they were coming up very expensive for our trip to California next year. After a number of reccomendations on The Dibb we have booked with Discount Florida Car Hire which were significantly cheaper & they throw in a free sat nav. Booking is fully cancellable so we keep a check on prices.

Search around. Have found Andy cheaper once, other times it has been other suppliers. Used

Have used Avis, SIXT, National & Avis (Bad Experience with both) and Hertz on the West Coast.

We book Alamo with Ebookers via Quidco. Always the best price and we have booked in Boston, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Orlando and Miami.

I use autoeurope for Alamo, it's often cheaper and includes tyre and glass cover on top of Alamo's offering
