Anyone rented a SATNAV from eBay?

I used google maps on my phone no problem.. I did take a phone holder though so I could use it properly- visible in the car

Great price and he supplies a return envelope
Even programmed our villa in for us

Different brands. Different features. Apple vs Samsung. Both do the job and well known brand leaders. Either will be fine. I have a Garmin Nuvi that works well.

I bought one for £25 with US Maps, a Tomtom, but as years passed the maps got out of date.

I bought a replacement Garmin Nuvi 300 that has split screens at junctions, lifetime free updates etc for £32 about 4 years ago. I wouldn’t be without it.

With prices like these, it seems pointless renting and in any case, I have never liked using my phone, preferring a ‘proper’ satnav.

I've probably already asked this question, but... if you hire a SATNAV does it come with a holder you can attach to the dashboard?
