Aah! So there is a guy called The Ice Cube. I thought that the guide was simply having us on. Strange name! I loved the cantilevered glass bottomed pool hanging over the valley below.

I have just looked him up!

The back of the Hollywood Bowl is quite cool too, it is a long way away but it combines two iconic sites in one visit.

Just learn from what I did .
We walked a bit nearer to the sign - to the back right of the photo , came back and found I had a parking ticket
You can park on the street there but have to be parked facing the direction of the traffic
I ( and plenty others ) didn’t and got hit by the friendly park ranger

Thank you! How annoying, I’ve just jotted this down in my planning book!

I think Lake Hollywood park is the closest, The view from the Griffith Obs and the shopping centre near Loews Hollywood is a bit more distant, especially on hazy days. Don't do what we did and follow other cars - thinking they know where they are going - and end up on crazy narrow resident only streets right up by the sign (which we traversed a few times whilst eldest DD nipped out for a selfie!
