Mobile What to do and when 🤔

So we're booked for July, into Vegas and out of SF. We have all hotels booked so just wondered what else I need to sort and when to sort?
°Car hire
°Disney/Universal tickets
°Vegas show
°Tickets for various attractions ie.
Alcatraz

Any help would be great
Tia
Happy New Year 😁

We are going into Vegas and out of San Fran end of august/first week of sept! We have our Disney tickets and tickets for universal but Alcatraz seems to be a couple of months before. The show we want to see in Vegas is booking to the end of April at the minute so I am just checking every week or two. We have booked our car hire through Andy at discount Florida car hire but haven’t had to pay anything yet.
Which hotels have you chosen?

Car hire. We favour budget (part of Avis).

Alcatraz becomes available exactly 90 days out. The best price and only place you should book is from Alcatraz Cruises as they have the franchise to ferry you to the Island. It is $39.99 pp at the moment. (I booked yesterday for 31 March).

We have visited SFO before and will be there again this Easter. I would suggest researching and either taking up or discarding the following...

1. Dylans tours 'Bike the bridge and Muir Woods tour'. You take a hire bike from Columbus Ave and then cycle, normally down to Fishermens Wharf then all the way across and over the Golden Gate to Sausolito, where you dump the bike at another cycle shop. After finding lunch yourself, you then meet up at a minibus that drives you up through Marin to Muir Woods where you see the Giant Redwoods. The bus then takes you back to SFO. A brilliant day!

2. Lombard St Zigzags. Very close to Dylans and worth seeing before collecting your bike!

3. A Cable car ride up to Union Square.

4. The Love Tour. You are picked up by Fishermens Wharf in a Mk1 VW bus, hand painted with shag pile carpet and 1960s music. You then go on a 2 hour guided tour, taking in Haight Ashbury, the Golden Gate etc.

5. SFO Ghost hunt, a guided tour on foot of the Nob hill area.

All are easily researched.

We currently have the following booked but I have changed my mind a few times
MGM LG
Best Western Yacht Harbour SD
Super 8 Wyndham Anaheim
Springhill Suites Burbank
Portula Monterey
Yosemite Lodge View
Hilton Union Square SF

We don't plan to spend too much time in the hotels other than the occasional chilled hour with the girls in the pool so haven't gone for anything too fussy

I would get your car hire sorted as soon as possible on a free cancellation rate. That way if the price goes down you can amend it with no charge.
I wouldn’t overly worry about pre booking a Vegas show as they can easily be booked whilst your there.
Alcatraz is 90 days before, get them booked as close to that date as possible as they do sell out.
If you’re doing the Warner Bros Studio Tour (which I highly recommend) there’s no major rush in getting the tickets. I think I bought mine about a month before we left

We have booked the Portola for April. Previously we used the Monterey Bay Hotel.

Portola (or Portaloo as my boys call it), looks really nice, well located and well reviewed.
Did you book direct and get the free adult breakfasts x 2? Shame we will have to then pay for the boys.. x2.
