If it’s just a bug I’m wondering though if a doctor could do anything besides what we’re doing - which is rest and hydration.

Oh bless you that sounds awful!

Hopefully you are all over the worst of it now. Have you all stopped being sick?

I think you should go with your instinct, if you were at home what would you do? My 13 year old daughter suffers with severe migraine (and has since she was seven). Last year she had one in Florida which was completely debillitating for 16 hours. My instinct was that whilst it was truly awful, it was not an emergency situation - my husband was not so sure... We would have given it a few more hours and then sought help, even though we know what a real migraine is, we were not at home...

Why not get them checked out? That’s why we have travel insurance

Easy to get a taxi or Uber.

Hope they are ok.

It’s not that easy to get a taxi/Uber though as we need a car seat and they are few and far between. And the 3 year old is still throwing up frequently and I don’t want a cleaning charge!

If I was at home I wouldn’t be worrying. I’d just let it run it’s course. The 3 year old is perking up. She had half a banana and is drinking.

Call your insurance, tell them you can’t leave the room because of the vomiting etc. They might agree to you getting a doctor to come to the room. They might arrange it for you (NatWest insurance did for me).

Let a doctor say if it’s a virus or something else. Let your insurance pay - that’s why you buy it.

Poor you.

Maybe try coca cola. We all drink this when we have upset stomachs. John Simpson, the BBC reporter, wrote in one of his books it was the best and most readily available cure for upset stomachs, it helps us.

I hope you all recover quickly.

I hope you are al back to normal soon and can enjoy your holiday. My little one was poorly last year for a day or two was horrible and as you said if we were at home I wouldn’t have worried. Thankfully it was just a 24 hours bug that drained her and us with worry. Sending get well wishes and good vibes that you are back enjoying yourself before you know it. Take care.

Firstly ring your insurance anyway , it’s good to get it recorded just incase you do need to claim at all and they really are good with advice . Secondly tell reception , not just for medical advice but your room may require a deep clean , if previous people had it it may be were you got it from . It stays on surfaces for a while . The parks and hotels are full people still using pools , handrails etc even though they have sickness just because they don’t want to waste money or time . It’s a breeding ground.
Hope you are all feeling better as there is nothing worse but we’ve been there and reception were great. Disney offered to pay for our transport and with car seats if needed.
