They advised getting there about 30 minutes before the interview and we got there 20 minutes before and 10 minutes before they were all called in. DD said she thinks it went ok although she ran out of time in the maths question which was multiple choice so had to do an educated guess. She said she was resigned to muck it all up so was quite calm which helped her in the end! They all hear if they have an offer or not the week before Christmas.

Thank you for the good wishes x
It sounds like she did well. I wouldn't worry about the maths question, I think dd got a bit stressed in hers last year and made a guess.
I wish I had thought to tell you about the car parking and there is a car park underneath the cathedral itself which usually has spaces. Not many people really know its there as its a bit odd for it to be under there. Got everything crossed for her. Did she go on the campus tour with the students too?

Well done to your DD Choppy Girl. Absolute gem of a car park for anyone heading g that way.
DD has had an offer from Manchester but has decided to stick with Liverpool or Leeds.

We tried the one under the cathedral first but it was full unfortunately. We tried to park in Mount Pleasant car park which is 13 floors high but was full. Luckily as DH was driving round an attendant opened up a small part that was coned off otherwise he would have had to give up and try somewhere else.

We did do the campus tour with the students - we went to an open day and saw some of it but they showed us the gym which we hadn't seen. DH had not been at all so it was good for him. Seeing the uni again just re-enforced how much me and DD liked it - all the emails go out at the same time the week before Christmas we were told.

Keeping everything crossed for her. DD said she saw some of the tours yesterday as they came into the common room when she was studying in there (Thompson Yates building). I am wondering if you were on the tour she saw?

DD has now had all of her offers. She got 4 conditional offers and 1 unconditional. Shes happy.
The Disney Society s really good. They have Disney quiz night, treasure hunts, film nights, cinema nights and next year there is a trip to Disneyland Paris!

My daughter is also part of the Musical Theatre Society and last week we went to watch her in the Winter Showcase. She is auditioning tonight for a part in the show Made in Dagenham.

Last year my daughter got 2 unconditional offers (Lincoln and Winchester) and 3 conditional (Royal Holloway, Birmingham and University of East Anglia).

She was set on Lincoln from the start, so she made that her firm choice and was not able to have an insurance because it was an unconditional.

She really does like Lincoln - we are visiting this weekend for the Christmas Markets.

I do think your daughter needs to be moved in by the time Freshers starts though and getting back on the Sunday morning might be a bit later unless you get everything ready before you go on holiday.

Thank you. Is the Thompson Yates building the one with the common room just for vet students? If so we may have seen her as there were 4 people in when we went. DD's interview was at 11 so we were there about 12:15.

Yes it is. It was probably her... tall, long dark hair? I think she was wearing a navy Uni sports teams hoodie.

Thanks. BTW, if DD does choose Lincoln it will be as her second/insurance option. Her first choice will be Harper Adams.

If it wasn't for the holiday, choosing the conditional offer with Harper Adams as her first choice and then the unconditional offer with Lincoln as her insurance choice would be absolutely perfect. She'd be guaranteed to get into university on the course that she wants and at a place that she seems to like. So that looks like the likely option.
