Sunset in Sarasota

Hi all

I'm trying to plan a day trip to Sarasota to surprise my DH. He used to visit there with his family when he was younger!

Can anyone recommend a good place to watch the sunset? Hoping to find somewhere quiet and romantic.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

We always spend a long weekend there every trip and have had dinner a few times at Beechhouse Resteraunt as can sit down outside and eat with live music also once see a pair of dolphins close to shore while dinning.

Siesta key - or salty dog if you can get a waterside table but I would go for siesta key personally

Thanks for the tips guys. Will look into the suggestions.

Trying to get a whole day planned to surprise him with. Its been 15+ years since he's been (I never have!) The only thing I know for sure is he would want to eat lunch/dinner at a place called Sharky's. Apparently he used to like it there quite a bit. Just hope its still there after 15years!

If he is thinking of Sharky's on the pier at Venice, it is still there and has recently expanded.

Great place , good food and a pier to walk lunch off !

Just google it and you will see plenty of info and menus

Nice photo wanye - brings back happy memories. We were there for sunset and it was lovely, even had dolphins playing in the sea.
