thomsons and change of resort?

We are booked to stay in the all star music resort and we have now found out there are lots of kids competitions at ESPN and it looks like they will probably stay at our hotel - so no sleep for us

The package is with Thomsons and had free breakfast included.

I am panicing as I wanted a nice holiday so my questions is does anyone have any experience of changing hotels and keeping the free dining with Thomsons?

The change would be to pop or maybe caribean beach if the food court will be open.

Any advice would be helpful

i have to say our first trip was over spring break and lots of sports events kids were in our hotel - didn't notice them really, how ever they improved our 2nd week massively by 1 group giving us all their left over food vouchers which paid for most meals the 2nd week

Why don't you just ask Thomsons? Surely, they will know if they allow changes and what the costs/conditions are and if there is availability?

I am hoping to call them tomorrow as the shops will not deal with us as we booked online... So I was looking for anyone who has tried to change.

I’m going with Thomson in April. They have been useless everytime I’ve wanted to do anything. I wanted to add another room and flight onto my booking but I couldn’t. I then had to book separate and I can’t book the transfer. Good luck trying to get any help lol.
Although it should be fairly easy to change resorts if they have availability and if you pay more. They will charge a admin fee which is £100 as I had to pay this to change my dates

I would message their Facebook page, we always book with Thomson online but every time I've phoned up about query I get some really generic answer or just something totally made up! Now I just message the Facebook page as I always get a good response, whichever customer service team that answers the messages seems to know their stuff, hope that helps 😃

I rang them to try and change resort and try and keep dining plan.

So a change from all star music to pop century would be an extra £2050

This would be 50% of the original price of our holiday

So praying we will get a magical free upgrade that I have heard of rarely before.

The guy was fairly clueless all the way through and then asked me to give him 5 stars if they ring for a survey.

Still never mind we are still going to the house of mouse

If it brings any relief - when we stayed at AoA in 2014 there were quite a few large cheerleading groups staying there and it made absolutely zero difference to our stay. I was worried at first but they are out all day either in the parks or at competition and they have very strict rules put in place by their coaches in the evenings and at night that they all seem to abide by
