Thomas cook deluxe villa with games room
hi, we have booked a 4 bedroom deluxe villa with games room through Thomas cook.
i know we wont know what villa we have until we arrive which is annoying me so much, just wanted to know if anyone else have stayed at one of these and was the area and villa you was allocated actually deluxe? this is the first time weve done this as usually ive stayed at highlands reserve but worried it wont live up to the high expectations i have... we are going with the in-laws this time so decided to do it this way. any comments would be appreciated thanks |

The problem with the description 'de luxe' is what does it actually mean? There is no standard definition, so it becomes rather meaningless. Thomas Cook on its web site uses superlatives such as 'Platinum' and 'Select' rather than 'De luxe', whilst others use 'Executive', 'Diamond', 'Gold', 'Premium' etc. How do these compare to each other? Which is better? They are all subjective, and are probably much the same thing. What you will get is something that matches the factual part of the description.
If you have specific requirements, then you should select the villa yourself, so you can be sure of what you are getting - the fact you have in-laws with you doesn't change that principle. AOA means that a property manager somewhere will choose for you from whatever is still available in their portfolio after the direct bookings have been done. How can 'one of the left-overs' ever be better than choosing your own from the full portfolio? |

hi,
thank you for the reply but you've actually answered the post with more questions instead of actually answering whether anyone has done this package as well, i know having in-laws doesn't change the principle that isn't what i was saying. we have gone with a package deal with Thomas cook cause that was the easier option for the in-laws to pay for everything monthly instead of separate. i have gone plenty of times before and previously booked the villa separate so i know the benefits of this but this isn't what we have chosen to do this time round. surely there is a difference from "standard" to "deluxe" otherwise they wouldn't give you the option of the two. anyone who has actually had the same package villa as this please let me know your reviews on what you was expecting and what you actually received |

I typed in Thomas Cook deluxe villa into the search - there are 57 results though by no means of all seem very on topic.
Suspect you'll do well to get a large number of responses from people who have at specifically used Thomas Cook deluxe villas ... may be worth a quick trawl through the results. Ian is right that 'deluxe' is such a vague term ... ... and the very nature of allocate on arrival means that even if all the responses you get said theirs were below standard it doesn't mean yours would be (and vice versa). |

We had a deluxe 5 years ago. It was great. The only problem was the location. It was easily about 40 minutes from Disney. Outside the gates were a selection of restaurants including the fantastic Manny’s Chop House.
We would book with Thomas Cook again hoping for a similar standard villa closer to the attractions |

We were in 4 bed TC aoa Orlando Preferred Villa in September 2015.Very happy with our villa. The management company was myorlandovacation and our villa was at Magic Landings near Heritage Park.
It was an area the other end of the 192 to what we were used to (near St Cloud), and I thought at first that it was too far out. We soon got used to it, and I have to say we got a games room etc. which we weren't expecting (no kids with us, just me and DH so it never got used). I would have sooner booked my own villa to know where I was going, but the price was too good, giving us PE inbound and outbound for the same price of diy economy flights and diy villa. No issues with the villa though, it was very new, clean, tidy, had a great tv package and free WiFi.

Thanks for your replies... it says it's no more than half hour from the Disney parks so hoping that's true!
