Parking at Hotels
Hi
We are staying on site for the first time this year so we will have 'free parking'. I was just wondering can you park at other hotels without a reservation as we are Disney guests? We were thinking of popping to a few hotels to explore but wasn't sure if we would be allowed to park without a reservation! If not then we will jump on Disney transport, was just hoping to make it between a couple a bit quicker if possible! Thanks

It very much depends on which hotels and the time of year, the resort loop hotels often don’t allow parking unless you’ve got a reservation or are paying to valet park, especially when the Christmas decorations are up. Same can be true of yacht/beach club and boardwalk when food and wine is on, ymmv though

The accepted "rule" is that non-residents are allowed to park for up to 3 hours if they have a dining reservation. But like all "rules" there will be a dozen responses from people who say that they just rocked up at the barrier and asked if they could have a look round.
Unfortunately there's then usually a response from residents at the hotels complaining that they can never get a parking space. We've never stayed on site but every holiday we have a mooch around some resorts. We always park at DS and catch a free WDW bus or boat. Mick

Some, such as the Grand Floridian, often have signs to say parking is only for guests or if you have a reservation. Last time we went for a meal at the GF we had a massive queue to get in and the CM on the gate told us the GF Cafe was closed. We had to show our reservation on MDE before he would let us in. We did find out later that the vice-president was there.

We had a reservation at Narcoossee's last February as non-residents and we had to show ID. We then had to drive round the car park about four times before we spotted someone driving out.

I thought you could park if you wanted to watch the fireworks and have a drink?

Thanks for this everyone - I didn't think it would be allowed as I know parking can be tight from when we have had dining reservations.
We're staying at SSR so will just be a walk/bus to DS and then on to where we want to be
