Girls 50th Birthday trip to Vegas
We are at the beginning of the planning process for a girls trip to celebrate all our 50th birthdays. Aiming for May 2020. Our local airport is Newcastle. Does anyone have any route recommendations? Flights not released yet but trying to get a rough idea of options ahead of release.
Regarding accommodation we want to stay on the strip, are there any hotels that have apartment style rooms that would accommodate a girl group. I think I have read on previous posts about Jockeys Club? or MGM but cant be sure. Trying to keep the costs as low as possible without too many compromises. Where can I find out about any conventions/sporting events that would impact on the accommodation costs? Thanks in advance. |

The travel options from Newcastle will be via Heathrow with BA or via Amsterdam with KLM or train to Manchester and Virgin to Las Vegas.
In addition to the Jockey Club check out the Vdara and the Elara Conventions, avoid these ones:- 5th to 7th May - Lightfair International...27,000 attendees 5th to 7th May - National hardware show...37,000 attendees 18th May to 20th May - RECon 2020...37,000 attendees Ballys are hosting the National 8 ball pool championship from 21st to 31st May they are anticipating 10,000 to attend that event. |

MGM signature has apartments and is nearly on Strip, Trump does but terrible location, Jockey Club not for me just looks gloomy but understand others like it and I have a feeling that you can use the facilities at another hotel.

Try polo towers they are next to mgm and have 2 bedroom condos which sleep up to 6, with living room and dining area with full kitchen.
It's a non casino apartment. Free laundry rooms on every floor. Resort tax is very cheap compared to casino hotels.

Vdara has kitchenettes and is central. Also consider all playing the Myvegas app for some freebies
