Universal hotels

We are flying into Orlando on 16th May 2024 and joining a Disney cruise on the 19th May.

Should we stay at Endless Summer for early entry?
Or Royal Pacific for early entry and express passes?
Or Endless summer and buy express passes?

Thanks in advance.

Number 2 for me.
Option number 3 would be ridiculous.

Why is 3 ridiculous? 2 adults who won't get into Universal until tea time on arrival day after a long flight and and best would get a day and a half at the parks. I'm not 100% sure we will get 2 day tickets.

I can't see how much express passes would be so I can't judge.

The express passes are priced by date and I have just found the link on the Universal website. This way you can compare the difference between a cheaper hotel with you then paying for the express passes or staying at RPR with flop’s included.

Because of how expensive the passes are. It gets mentioned daily and the standard reply is to book a premium hotel for a night and save a fortune.

You should’ve included your plans in your post as that’s quite a big detail you missed out.

I think they maybe meant it would be ridiculous in cost, comparably, rather than a ridiculous option.

Express passes are very expensive. I looked into staying at a value and paying for express and it was more expensive than a deluxe. We’ll probably do one night deluxe in the middle of a Disney stay and get two full days of express.

Thank you. Express pass prices aren't available for our dates yet and I had no idea how expensive they are, which is why I asked the question.

I am sorry if I irritated anyone for asking the question but as I am only recently back on The Dibb after a break and haven't trawled through every single post I didn't realise just how expensive they are. The Universal site doesn't have Express Pass prices up for our dates. Plus we have only done Universal once, many years ago so I thought that I would ask the people who know the answers.

I have always known the Dibb as a kind place where people give information to help others out, just as I will do when I have enough up-to-date information to do so.
