Doing ok. Had my stem cell transplant over Christmas and new year and didn't have to many issue with the melphalan.
My blood counts are rising and my nuetrophils are at 3.5 ATM so going well
I had my Hickman line removed on Thursday. They cut my chest open to dislodge the cuff which attaches to the tissues. Then strange sensations as they pull the tube out from above your heart. Then stitch you up and put a bandage on you. I have my stitches out in about a week.
Then in 100 days I have another bone marrow extraction from my hip to see if my residual disease is positive or negative. Once I get those results I am put on the next course it treatment.

We are going to Wales in an Airbnb cottage from Monday as a valentines gift to my wife who has helped me get through the treatments up to now and also a bit of normality for a week away from the hospital where I seem to spend more time than I did going to work lol
