Lunch at Kennedy Space Centre

Just looking for tickets and see some are offering free lunch or $15 dollars towards lunch.

Anyone had lunch there and if so what was it like?

Burgers, chicken burgers, chicken tenders and pizza with chips etc.

It was okay for effectively quick service theme park food, on a par with Disney etc.

You get a $15 food credit, and the lunch will cost around $20 pp including a drink so it doesn’t quite cover it. You can’t add together either so you have to order and pay for a meal for each person separately.

We had lunch in the Saturn V building with that same free $15 lunch offer. You order on a machine and only one voucher is accepted per order so have to put each person's order through separately. We got chicken tenders and chips or burgers and chips with a drink and had to pay about $1-$2 each on top of the voucher - the voucher would have more than covered the food but the drinks pushed them over the $15.
We found the whole experience of ordering, collecting the food and finding somewhere to sit as a family with two kids really stressful and chaotic. It was just so busy. But, the food was fine, especially as it was basically free.

We did this last year and it was fine. We ate at the Orbit cafe, ordering a bacon cheeseburger, chicken strips & 2 lots of fries, with 2 coffees, and paid $6 on top of the vouchers, which we thought wasn't bad. The food was good, hot and fresh-tasting, pretty good for fast food. We easily found some seats outside, (inside was heaving and noisy), but the only downside we found was being constantly nagged by starlings who are clearly used to eating the fast food leftovers but also try to snag food whilst you are still eating it! I didn't order from the machines but went up to one of the counters, and did the two orders together with no problems.

I had Pizza in the Saturn V hangar. It was utterly revolting, the worst Pizza that I have ever eaten.

We got walking Tacos and a bottle of Path water for £15.68 but I cannot remember where exactly we got them from. It was basically Doritos with chilli con carne and cheese sauce. It was a kiosk that was a literal hole in the wall and you order on a screen. They were actually really good and I hate cheese sauce!

Food is pretty poor at KSC in my opinion- we brought our own food / drinks as there’s plenty were plenty picnic areas

Was that recently?
We too had a pizza there but it was probably around 2015. Absolutely awful. I’ve seen reasonable reviews since though hence my question

It was around 2015-2016.

On subsequent visits, we have had breakfast before and then an evening meal afterwards.

I never want to eat something that revolting ever again.
