That’s really sad to hear, his behaviour really isn’t acceptable.
I am an extremely stubborn person and if he said those things to me I would stop cleaning and cooking and insist he does it himself if he thinks he can do a better job, to be honest there is no way I’d do all the cleaning and cooking anyway, it isn’t women’s work! As above, lots of people have unhappy childhoods, it isn’t an excuse to put you down and make you feel rubbish about yourself. I watched my half sister go through a similar thing (she still does, but we no longer speak) with her partner, if it was me I’d have put him under the patio but everyone reacts differently. Please sit down and speak to him about how this affects you. It will rub off on the children too and they could develop the same attitude, I know my nephew did with my sister, even at 6 years old he would speak to her like dirt. |
