Our Sainsbury’s driver said when the store opened at 6am there wasn’t a single empty space in the car park.
My parents are queueing to get out of Tesco now, my mum said it’s crazy there. |

Back from Morrison’s, had to drive around the car park and wait a few minutes for a space but not too bad. Shelves were well stocked and dates were pretty good. Aisles weren’t too crowded but the checkouts had quite long queues. Everyone seemed in a nice festive mood, apart from the man who barged into me with his trolley 😡 My £60 estimate turned into £85 though 😢 We won’t run out of anything until at least Friday though 😂

Just waiting for Morrison’s delivery...went to local farmshop today, had pre-ordered main stuff, queues were out the door... unbelievably overheard one woman in the queue saying that she hadn’t a clue what she wanted and was going to see what she fancied when she got to the counter... when we got to the counter she was asking the assistant how to cook her 2lb piece of turkey and then actually writing the instructions down...

The Morrison’s order came, on time and only one substitution (got double cream instead of clotted), lovely delivery driver and free gingerbread delivery men...

Our Sainsbury's carpark was already full at 7.45 this morning! Managed to get everything fairly easily and had saved up £50 of nectar points which helped a fair bit!
Then in to town for the chicken/gammon that we had pre-ordered from the butcher and we were home by 10.30. If we haven't got it now, we'll have to do without 🙂 |

I thought I'd get to Sainsburys around 10am, after the 6am opening rush. It seems that everyone else had the same idea though!

That’s what we did at Morrison’s. It did actually work quite well, there was a queue into the car park and we had to drive around and wait for a car to pull out but the shop itself wasn’t too busy. It was much worse when we left, the queue was actually going into the small town not just the car park!
