Where should we visit?
We've been to Florida over a dozen times but have only made it to the beach on one occasion. For our next trip it will be just me and DH and we're determined to get away from the parks for a day or two. Which area would you recommend and why - Clearwater, St Petes, Sarasota, Ana Maria Island? .

For me Sarasota and Anna Maria, they are close enough to travel to both about 40 minutes apart. You have some of the best beaches, combined with great shopping and all the facilities of a big city,

If you are looking for a relaxing day by the beach then have a look at a few YouTube videos of Fort Desoto. Beautiful beaches, walks, wildlife, a couple of fishing piers, kayaking, bike trails and plenty of dolphins and manatees to view.
Greatest place on Earth in my opinion. |

We like St. Pete Beach - always do the dolphin watch tour here.
