Ive been twice, stayed at Atlantis the Palm and Grand Hyatt at the creek. Loved them both. April and Oct weather was great, Sept will be a bit warmer. I wrote mini trippies, see below. So much to do/see in Dubai if you want to or just chill out if you dont.

Yes its a fabulous hotel, the pools are lovely and youve got free access to the water park and aquarium. I did feel like I preferred the creek location to the palm for getting out and about but taxis are cheap so its still easy enough from the palm. It is busy and lots of people come for a look so its marmite - some people think its too busy and like staying in a theme park, but we loved it.

If you can afford it, The Burj is absolutely amazing, plus you are treated like royalty . serenity personified. Also we love the Al Qasr, the pool is amazing plus upgrade on your room you have the most amazing Breakfast then, cream tea, then Champagne and in he evening with Hors d'oeuvres that are truly wonderful.

But for us, the crme de la crme is the Al Maha Desert Resort and Spa, its is beyond amazing.
Personally I would avoid the Atlantis... awful hotel, unless you have children.
