Any one had two rooms, 1 with DDP and the other with DxDDP?
Hi,
We're going away 5 adults, 2 with DxDDP and 3 with DDP. Is it awkward when paying for meals comes around? Does it cause confusion? We will all be eating together for every meal. The two rooms are linked on MDE, so can one person pay on their magic band or must 2 different payments go through, one for the deluxe portion of the meal and 1 for the DDP? I'm confused as to how it will work now. Many thanks.

We have had 2 rooms, one with DxDDP and one with none. It was easy as we ate together every time. It becomes more complicated if you split up but still doable.
We are thinking of having one QSDP and one DxDDP next time.

the 2 rooms are linked on MDX BUT each room has their own dining entitlements
both rooms will NOT share their dining credits so, if it's still allowed (recent report tend to say it's no longer the case) you would be able to pay for everyone's meals with your own credit, but also means that will eat into YOUR credits, and the other room will need to pay for your meals on another occasions. but, basically, each room has their credits, and they will not be shared between rooms it's up to you to explain the server how you wish to go about paying for the meals you can split the check, and have each "room" pay for their own meals, each "room" using one of their MBs so they will only use their own dining credits pay attention to the value of the credits, as DxDP can be either QS or TS meals, so DxDP credits are best used on TS restaurants also note that QS credits are now differenciated between adults and children, so that will cause an issue if one room has a child and the other has not, as the credits won't match so better split the check and everyone (=room) pays for their own meals Edited at 06:23 PM. |

Um, this is interesting, if it is no longer allowed, that could cause problems.
I wonder when that will be confirmed?

We have 2 rooms booked and linked similar to you for our May trip. I’m certainly hoping there are no changes to being able to charge everyone to one rooms credits.
