Only been to Steak'n'Shake once but we really enjoyed it and couldn't get over how cheap it was.
We went to the one at LBV and the chilli cheese hot dog was lovely!

Love Steak 'n Shake, have you tried their breakfast, when we stayed down in Bradenton there was one just around the corner of the condo we were staying in so we had one almost every morning, the 2 of us had full breakfast with unlimited coffee for $12.

I wasn't really interested in this, but one night last November we were driving back home from Florida Mall and it was one of the only things still open... As others have said, it was a little rough and packed with all kinds of "questionable" characters
 but we ordered takeout and it was genuinely one of the tastiest burgers I've had in a long time!
