Premier Inn is our go-to hotel wherever we stay.

Re South vs North, we stay at South for several reasons,
the room is bigger
the children will be sharing a bed on holiday so start now
the sink is outside the bathroom
I prefer the shower pod

Obviously as I said PI is our go to, the biggest issue with any family room in a PI is the pull out single trundle bed that lives under the main bed. The other single is the day bed which is fine.

The mattress on the trundle is stuck down to the base meaning you cannot tuck a sheet between the mattress and the base. So PI staff just lay a folded in half sheet over the bed. Not great if you have a wriggler and the sheet rucks up.

But we swallow it because the price is soooo good.
