Mobile New Year’s Eve 2018

I have just booked Disneyland for new year 2018 (29th-2nd) and we are staying in the DLH. I know it’s going to be busy (we have done new year in Florida!) what sort of things do they have on? I read the fire works are around lake Disney but do they not have them in the park? Anything else I need to know/ book? X

For New Year's Eve itself in the Disneyland Park you need a party ticket which are extra. The park is cleared of regular guests early evening and then its party only guests from then on.

The Studios park remains open for everyone and there are fireworks around lake Disney in the Village at midnight for everyone too so you don't have to pay for the party if you don't want to.

Also considering NYE this year.. Wondering if it is as busy as Florida, if parks especially the studios park fill to capacity early or not as crazy?!

Following as I am thinking a NYE in DLP may beat the local pub!

If they close the castle park for the hard ticket party I guess it is not so busy? Or is that wishful thinking?
