You are thinking like an Orlando tourist here, it's also a major hub for people going out to New York for sales shopping and New England for ski holidays - it will be busy - but I would think you have more than enough time anyway

We have done this a number of times and I always book at least 2.5 hours for the stopover going out to clear security and at least 1.5 hours on the way back as it's more straight forward. We have always had at least 6 of us travelling and it has been fine. Out stopover airports have been Boston, Philadelphia and Miami going out and Detroit, Charlotte and Dallas coming back. No problems with any.
