Clarion Inn Mini-market/deli

Weirdly we did not eat many large meals on our last visit to Orlando & got several takeaways from our hotel in the evenings.

The Clarion is new for us so wondering if we can get a decent takeaway/snack from their deli. Thinking along the lines of a larger lunch and snacky dinner on some days. Looking for things like sandwiches/subs etc.

Anything that is really good or really bad?

Are the prices crazy or reasonable?

We won't have a car so thinking about doing this on days we don't fancy going our again in the evening.

Tia

Edit - one last thought, can we get take out delivered to the hotel? Never done this before!

Sorry Suecee, that long ago I can't remember a Deli, we did eat in a couple of times & the food was good. As a back up, you have Goodings- there used to be a path through into the Crossroads but if it's gone it's not that far. Winn Dixie isn't that much further, just in the opposite direction & it would be "rude" not to stop at Steak n Shake & get one of their side by side shakes! Olive Garden take outs are huge, we normally order online & you choose a pick up time.

Thanks SD. Latest opinion seems to be that the hotel restaurant isn't great. May risk it one night

Steak & Shake is on my list. I'll check our the others you have suggested.

Thanks again

Were staying at the clarion. Its a while since staying thwre but the crossroads had lots of eateries. Has anyone got an up to date list? I.know there was a chinese takeaway, seadog, hooters, cicis next door to the hotel and firther away was a sizzler, mcdonalds, ihop, burger kings, black angus, olive garden. I imagine a lot has changed now.

How far is shake and steak? Is it walking distance?

I haven't walked to Steak n Shake but I'd say it's doable, we walked to Chili's & it was fine.

Next to the hotel still has everything you listed, there's an Indian, Black Fire steakhouse & Kobe place there too.

Sizzlers is gone, not sure where that was . Everything else is still there. There's also a Miller's within walking distance & a Denny's. I think there's a Perkin's, I can't remember now, but I vaguely remember the flag. There's a Buffalo Wild Wings as well. There's a lot at The Crossroads area, I'm not sure what ones will go when the expansion starts.

We did walk to Golden Corral one morning, it was a killer in the heat but it certainly burned breakfast off on the way back .

We stayed in April. The food in the bar was fine burger, chicken burgers, fish and chips. And you can order it from the deli and sit out with it or take it up to your room or what ever. The little shop has things like cereal, pop tarts, fresh fruit, sandwich stuff but no bread, noodles and Chrisp and stuff. They have a fridge with premade sandwiches and salads. A little meal is doable from the deli. We done it a couple of lunch times around the pool xx

Hi, we never used the restaurant but the bar food was OK and you could either eat there or take it back to your room in polystyrene boxes also had subs and hot dogs in the shop that you could microwave in the room. Steak and shake is down Palm Parkway and turn right, lots of other eateries here as well and about 10 mins to walk. There also used to be a subway near IHOP. Loads of choices really. Enjoy it!

For those that have stayed there before, is the shop in the hotel way overpriced or ok? Just thinking of getting milk, fruit, bottles of water, few snacks. Or are we better off to venture to an outside supermarket? Also how big is the fridge in the room?
