Poor experience at Tusker House

Tusker has been one of our must dos each trip, but we had a poor experience there yesterday.

Our server was ok...but her interest wasn’t genuine...the food as always was lovely, but the characters were poor. My youngest likes to talk and ask them questions. He has great interaction with them. Both Donald and Mickey didn’t want to talk to him, had photos done and waved goodbye whilst he was mid sentence. I was so disappointed. Daisy was better..but still not great. I didn’t complain as we’ve had a stressful start to our current trip and don’t want to be complaining all the time. It was a really poor experience though and not sure it will make our list next time. Crystal Palace on the other hand was fab. Amazing interaction there.

I’ve seen a few reports of poor interaction at Tusker...just a heads up..

We had it booked for 2 days.. Cancelled both due to meeting the characters in the park etc.. As staying off-site.. I'm not a fan of paying over the odds for a meal to meet them of we habe already got the photo so to speak..m

My Kids (8 and 4) love a meet and greet and get more from that than during a meal where they eat around $5 of food !

We have always done tuskers in the past but skipped it this time...

We did TH twice last month. The first time we sat for 40 minutes and only saw Goofy. The others would appear then disappear. We gave it a second chance and it was a bit better but I don’t think we’ll bother next time.

Sorry to hear this, we had breakfast at Tusker House 3 weeks ago and had a really good experience.

Our server was fantastic and considering we were a party of 2 adults the character interaction was good.

The best part though was watching the characters with the children on the next table, it brought tears to my eyes.

If you have a number of issues concerning Disney make a note and send an email when. You return with everything on. My friend did this back in May and tusker was also one she mentioned . Her 3 yr old was really upset with the character interaction as well. Hope things pick up for you x

We had breakfast last week at Tusker House, when we arrived a couple of characters were around, one of them being Mickey...all the characters were very animated, interacting with the kids etc, my girls although older were looking forward to Mickey arriving at the table.

Then they had a break and when the characters returned, it was so obvious the change in the Mickey character, all the animation had gone...of course he was interacting, but at a totally different level, to the point my girls made a joke out of something had upset Mickey and we now had 'grumpy Mikey'...

Sorry to hear about your disappointing experience.

We haven't eaten there, but our last experience at Crystal Palace was frankly rubbish. We waited ages to see the characters and they were clearly in a rush and barely stopped for us to take a photo. The food wasn't as good as other places a fraction of the price.

yes sadly we found this with Tusker house this trip,and wouldn't bother next time..In fact i would never bother with any dining package again as i found them unnecessary!

We weren't fussed infact it was pretty rubbish we had the ddp but for what we paid in tips it still wasn't worth it rushed characters.

CP was another we were disappointed with again felt rushed and a big drop in food quality.

I don't think I'd bother with character buffets in future.

TH b'fast was excellent in August, done it 3 times, always good. We do do it first morning of holiday, and just hits the spot.

We tried lunch for first time this year, food wasn't great, and we were put in side room, and ignored. Don't know if that's common experience for lunch or the room we were in?

CP been 3 times too for lunch, always excellent too - food and characters. Big plus is the location - allowing us a fuller park day with the break.

We'll stick to TH for b'fast and CP for lunch.
