Alcohol under 21

the dining plan now includes alcohol. As DS is under 21 his drinks will be non alcoholic.

My question is, if I get an alcoholic drink, is he allowed to drink this if I have bought it and I drink his non- alcoholic drink? Or is no alcohol allowed to pass their lips when are outside of the home in the US?

My DS will be 19 when we are there.

No - you will committing an offence as will he. 60 days in jail and a fine isn't going to make your holiday enjoyable is it? Just follow the rules. If the servers in a restaurant spotted what you were doing they'd be perfectly within their rights to call the cops.

As above - and you can also be banned from the parks. Someone earlier this year was removed from Universal for letting his child hold a drink for a photograph.

As far as I'm aware, drinking isn't allowed under 21, anywhere, even in your hotel room. If, god forbid, there was an accident and he needed to go to hospital and alcohol was found in his blood, you would be prosecuted for allowing a minor to drink alcohol.

US establishments take drinking laws for more seriously. One infringement is enough to get them shut down and the server can also be heavily fined as well as fired.

I think that you can generally gather that it's a definite No Just to reiterate how serious they take it though- they can't even have alcohol in their possession open or otherwise, you can be jailed even if they aren't drinking it- the only exception is if an employer has been granted an exemption, if they are a server for example.
