I'll put in a word for five guys for those who like burgers. Add your own toppings, as much as you want 😀 We all love their chips too.

If you want to keep restaurant bills down, don't order drinks. We drink water at home (except the preschoolers) and stick with it when we eat out. Even soft drinks can add $12. to a tab for a family of 4.

UNOs do nice pizza, Sweet Tomatoes is excellent value and Taco Bell is good for cheap and cheerful.
I'm sure I read somewhere that all the Ponderosas have all closed down now but Waffle House is one of our favourites for an inexpensive breakfast and the diner style is fun too. Wouldn't set foot in Golden Corral though, it's just not for us.

CiCis is brilliant for a budget meal. Also chillis, Chickfila, hooters, Denny's are all good prices.

I’d echo Steak ‘n Shake, millers, Denny’s for breakfast (haven’t tried other meals yet!) but new find this time (Dibb recommendation) was NYPD Pizza and they do deals on certain days check out their website.
If you want to keep costs down consider eating a late lunch c3-4 pm as the lunch menu is often cheaper than dinner. I’d agree that sticking to water for drinks will also help with costs. Oh and often restaurants do “early bird “ ie before 6 or 7pm and happy hour offers.
Lots of choices out there.

Most places the drinks are refillable, by 2 and use for a family of 4

Ask Wizzo.

One of his trippies is self-explanatory.
