It’s very expensive, but you have 6 nights at rpr club room - which is £££. You could do 2 nights there in a normal room, and 4 nights at cabana bay. A pool room costs more than a standard room, so you can save money there.
Ultimately though, it will almost certainly be cheaper to diy than book through virgin. Also does that include car and insurance?

No, we don't drive when we are there.
I know we could save money with alternative accommodation but we've already down graded from deluxe to moderate at Disney so the accommodation is how we would want it. Do you think theres much to be saved doing it DIY?
thanks

Therefore, not expensive :-); expected rate for what you get.

The club room alone at PBH is about 2,500 when you add in tax for those dates (this year). Then you've got best part of 3 grand on tickets. As you are well in advance of flight release date you are unlikely to be getting a deal there so working on 800 each that's 3200.

So that's nearly nine grand before you add in the Disney hotel, so all in all its expensive but it's about right given the choices made - it can certainly be cheaper by staying in a budget Disney hotel and cabana bay at universal (or a villa and driving) but then it might be cheaper but not your dream holiday.

If you've got a quote for exactly what you want I'd say it's there or thereabouts right, if you feel you could cut corners and not lose the magic then there are options

Not a straight comparison but this August I have booked for 2A 3C (16,15,14) sharing a room:
Flights (going to NYC first then internal flights to MCO, then home from MCO) £2800
10 nights POR (free QSDP upgraded to DDP) + 14 nights tickets £5095
4 nights PB club room £1120
14 night 3 park hopper Universal £1120

That’s £10,135 total for 5 of us for 14 nights. Extra nights at PB are £280, so we could do 17 nights for £10975.

Knock off one person’s flight, park tickets and dining upgrade - call it £1000, and your looking at £10,000 for 4 booked DIY.

Assume your going to wait for free dining to be released? That should save a bit.

What do you budget for food?
