In Publix the bag loaders/deliverers to car usually have a badge saying please do not tip or similar.

I would leave a couple $$ as I did when we ordered fro Giordanos for take out but not the full 15-20% as expected.

When we ordered pizza to takeout from the hotel bar, i never tipped. I then spent the evening questioning myself as to whether i should have or not 😂

Learn something new everyday. Never noticed but normally got loads of shopping so looking elsewhere.

Plus we're normally doing the sigh that the card worked ok as panic every time we use it

I am American and always for tip takeout. Depending on my order $2-5. The tip is for the waitress who has to pack up the take out.

At places like Applebees they may have a designated server on takeout duty and otherwise not earning tips.. While you may not see service, there is some so I feel the server who is not working on a table, deserves a small tip. I would guess it's about 10% but I don't figure it out, just add something to the bill.

As above we got takeout from Outback a couple of times and a server does come out and they asked if we wanted drinks / sauces etc said it would be a few minutes then came back out with everything so i think we rounded up the bill so as to give a small tip. On the other hand we ordered Chinese from a takeaway and collected it so we didn't tip then i don't think.

Have a look at the olive garden offer at the moment.
It's called buy one take one.
You order an entree and choose another for free.
We ordered and paid via there website and picked it up at a set time.
All with free salad, breadsticks ,etc
No tip involved.

We got curbside collection from outback, 1st time tipped the same as we would of done had we sat in... 2nd time we didnt tip as we had got into the swing of things and realised that no tip was really needed for take away
