They were totally overwhelmed by the response last year - we spoke with lots of other families on the night who agreed that Disney weren't prepared for the response they got. That night was the only time I've felt unsafe in a theme park - mainly because they underestimated the number of people who would come and therefore had far fewer cast members on duty than they needed. The character (villain) meet and greets lines only worked because the guests took responsibility.

I said at the time that if Unleash the Villains was repeated (and I thought it would be given the popularity) it should be a hard ticketed event to control numbers and get staffing at the correct level. I'm glad Disney have taken on board the lessons from that first event. But sad because I can't go this year

Really wanted to see the fireworks (it's meant to be Disney's best ever show!) and the Villain meets look great! Just not sure the $71 tickets will be worth it! Although it would also mean a little less stress on MNSSHP night - not queuing for the villains again would free up time for trick or treating
