With them putting Frozen a fantasy into Norway how does that with the whole Epcot theory. Nemo was the first and you could forgive that as it was not in a country, but changing a country to a fantasy location. On the positive side does this mean we will see Ratatouille in France in years to come.

Me and my boys really like Frozen (luckily, not enough to want to meet Anna and Elsa) but I think this is a real shame. For me, it just does not fit into World Showcase. Imagine the crowds in that area now too. Real shame.

Lets be honest, Maelstrom ( aswell as most of the epcot WSC rides ) are a bit of a waste of time and space, they are good to get out of the heat though

Frozen in Norway, it makes sense and will work well

I love Frozen but am really not sure how I feel about this. It's getting a bit much now.
It may bring a new kind of life to Epcot though as in my opinion it seems to be a park the younger ones may not appreciate as much so having this attraction might make it more popular in a way, but also is going to make it a lot busier!
More sad that it won't be the Fairy Godmother lighting up the castle for Christmas.

Totally agree. Not everyone is Frozen mad! I didn't enjoy the film at all

Maelstrom may be closing at the end of the month -new Frozen version arrives in 2016
So in 2015, World Showcase will have a taped off area stating that Norway is shut
Can understand the business side of this( at a push) but not the destroying of the national traditions and the whole ethics linked to Epcot and World Showcase in particular

Norway will be still open just the ride area closed off. The good thing about it is they will do most the work behind the scenes as I guess they will take the back of the building off to get in stripped out. If it is 2016 opening then they plan to do more than fit scenes from the movie in. It could be new ride system. They could even be planning to building it bigger at the back.

Great idea to replace maelstorm, but way too much Frozen stuff going on in the parks. Hollywood Studios felt like the Frozen park this summer. I suppose it's all about the money they can now keep generating from the film. Many many people love the film, I think we are in the minority in our house (we have boys).
