I moved my booking with EA from 2020 to 2021 and wasn’t charged an amendment fee so maybe call them tomorrow and doublecheck.

£250 amendment fee in the current climate is shocking. Especially when most companies were offering free cancellation or amendment.

I’m incredibly surprised to hear this. I‘ve only ever heard positive experiences, and this includes my own. My understanding is that they were very quick to refund people and were also very good during the Thomas Cook collapse.

I wouldn’t be doing anything until further payment is due to be paid. A lot can change between now and then. I’ve rebooked for next august and won’t cancel until I (if) need too.

We were booked into POFQ which is currently closed with no reopening date, so it’s not an option to stay there at all at the moment. We’ve moved to Colorado Springs from our FQ booking.

Don’t make any decisions until you need too. If it turns out 2022 is best for you then you can do that in a few months time.

As far as Ever After Holidays is concerned I’ve never used them but I do think that a lot of Dibbers do rate them well.

You shouldn’t have been charged an amendment fee. You weren’t able to go on your original dates due to travel restrictions. I’d contact them and query this first. Disney have been pretty reasonable with everything and Virgin only appear to have been dragging their heels with refunds. Good luck.

Funny that , Mattie and his team have an excellent rep in the groups I frequent.
My personal experience booking with them a couple of years ago was excellent too when Disney closed the pool at AKL , they had me moved to BWI at no extra cost within hours , some people on the Dibb booked with other operators , including Virgin were still waiting to be moved some weeks later.
I’m not one for suggesting “cutting losses” and costing people money based on FB gossip rather than personal experience.
In this instance I’d suggest waiting a couple of months before making any decisions as with the US elections upon us and the vaccine appearing to be starting before year end , my feeling is things will start to change quite quickly once it all gets going.
