Do you think 2021 prices will be higher or lower than usual?
Me and hubby were having this discussion last night, in view to possibly having an April 2021 trip to Florida, if the prices drop slightly compared to usual (otherwise we can't afford it). This led into a discussion about what prices are likely to do next year.
Part of me thinks people will still be pretty anxious about travelling so less demand = lower prices to attract customers. However the other part of me wonders if everyone who wanted to go this year is probably going to want to rebook for 2021 instead, so maybe demand will be higher and prices will go up. What are your thoughts? |

Higher. Fewer planes flying and fares will be at a premium. The once in a lifetime visit to Disneyworld after years of saving will be normal.

Flights definitely higher as a few airlines are in trouble

From the comparisons we are able to get so far for the same holiday in Aug 2021 compared to Aug 2020 we would be looking at around £2k more

No one can possibly know. Until this all settles down and people assess their finances, both companies and individuals, no one can have any clue how things will be next year. There are too many unknowns and too many variables.

Will be higher, less seats available with social distancing in aircraft, less large aircraft flying routes, less airlines operating, those that are left have made some drastic reductions.
There won’t be many aircraft flying empty like now

In April there may still be social distancing. Once there’s a vaccine and the virus is under control then there will be no need for the strict measures we have now. I would imagine prices will all be down to when you go and what measures are in place, whether the airline can get enough passengers to make running the flight profitable or not. Who can know.

I'm driving myself daft wondering this. Saving already for booking to go in Oct 2021. I really hope we get to go. The last time we went was in 2016. Not been able to afford a holiday since

Same here, went 2017 and it was the last overseas holiday we went on. We want to go back in August next year but have no idea how much it will cost. We will book Disney if/when free Disney dining is offered and then see where we are at when they release flights. Worst case scenario will be that we move the holiday to 2022. It’s my 40th next year, my eldest leaves school and turns 16 so it’s a pretty special July/August time. Guessing only time will tell.
