I had this situation with AmEx. Used live chat to request a refund and they ask you to fill in a secure form with your bank account and sort code and sent the refund to my bank in a few days. Was very easy and quick.

That’s such a good question I hadn’t thought of that, whenever I get refunds they’re usually small enough it just means I don’t need to pay for the groceries etc, we’d be waiting a good few months to cover £7000 of groceries lol!

So glad I've seen this. Having a dilemma at the moment as cancelled a break to Bluestone which I'd paid for on a credit card. They want to refund me the money to the credit card but I've asked for it to go into my bank account and it's causing chaos. I've explained I don't use the credit card except for holidays and would have £1000 sat there wasn't sure if there would be a fee to transfer/withdraw the money. Thank you

I’m waiting for a refund from bluestone. They’re not responding to anything. Have you actually had a response from them? Sorry to hijack the thread !

I was supposed to be there 6/4-10/4/20 I submitted my request for a refund as soon as they announced they would be closing. They have said they are a very small team and people are now having to work from home so to bear with them and they are working through the bookings in date order. I received an email from them this morning as I tried to contact them on live chat to explain that I would want the refund to go on a different card. They said they would have to refer my case to the finance department so I've no idea how long it will take! I'm on a facebook group and lots of people on there also waiting.

I had to call mine 3 times as they could only transfer £4999.00 at a time and it was the whole balance for all 7 of us. It is now in a savings account until we can re-arrange the trip but looks more like 2022 with everything being as it is.

I tried to do mine on-line with M&S but was told I had to do it on the phone and now can't get through on phone for 2 days as it's so busy.
