Pre Paid Card for 16 year old

Hi

My 16 year old son is saving frantically for our trip in the Summer and should have around £800 worth of dollars to take to spend.

Obviously, I don't want him to take that all in cash, but cant seem to find a pre paid card that is available for people under 18.

I have a Revolut but that's for 18+ & others I have looked at seem the same.

Is there such a thing for under 18's?

Thanks in advance

I didn't use my revolut so gave it to my 16yr old to use when we went but obv that only works if you have a revolut you don't want/need to use

Hi
This is from the FairFx site:

Am I eligible for a FairFX card?
If you are living in the UK (including Channel Islands), and are aged 18 or over, you can apply for the card, providing we are able to verify your identity to your registered address. If you would like a card for a friend or family member living outside of the UK, or above the age of 14, you may want to consider the Family and Friends Card. Please see fairfx/familyandfriends for more information on how to use this service.

We got one for DD when she was younger - she now has her own Revolut.

My child has a fair fx card which is linked to my account she had it when she was 15 last year and she will have the same this year. She wants to load her card up so she needs to transfer money to me and I do it. She is fine with this

He can apply for a Starling Bank account from 16 and just transfer the money he wants to spend into it.

My kids have go henry cards for the UK, though the fees for foreign transactions are not good so I just transfer the cash.

DD has a Flex current account with Nationwide with a debit card which she has used in Florida. Cash withdrawals abroad are also free on this account for under 18s only.

Seconded on the Nationwide, a proper bank account which can be turned into a Student Account or standard adult account when needed.

My DD uses her Nationwide current account card too. No charges for spending or using at atms. She is 18 now, so will soon need to change it to their student account
