Mobile What to expect when flying with VA

All our previous trips have been with Thomas Cook who we loved and never had any issues with.

For 2021 we’ll be looking at Virgin from Manchester so just wondered what can we expect from them compared to Thomas Cook?

The 1 thing we missed last year with TC was the Twilight check in the night previously to get rid of all the luggage. Do VA do this ?

We’ll be flying Economy Classic 👍🏻

VA do have twilight check in although I fly from LGW not MAN, not sure if it's offered there as well. I would assume so since it's a hub for them.

I didn't fly TC so can't give direct comparison but have flown VA many times. There's not really any significant difference in economy across all the trans-Atlantic operators IME.

I have flown with both and much prefer Virgin but it's only because you have lots more choice on the IFE. With TC you had to pay extra if you wanted more films etc.

Just a word of warning after VS announcement this week we do know that there will be no 747's operating for the airline with immediate effect and that will involve Manchester.

Indeed, expect a Virgin A330
