1 hour 45 min connection time?

Anyone done a 1 hr 45 min connection at PHL? (5th April 21) I have spoken to BA who assured me it would be fine but just feel a bit nervous . The other flight option is one with a 4 hour connection which would get us into tampa very late...just thought i'd check before i click book

We originally had 2 hours in Detroit but flights changed so ended up with 4, if we had only 2 hours we wouldn’t of made it. Personally I would go for longer connection even if it’s late into Tampa. I wouldn’t be comfortable with 1 hour 45.

I wouldn’t be happy with 1hr 45. I am a regular on indirects and regard 3 hrs on the in as about right.

I would be happy with it. I would prefer a bit longer but four hours is too long in my experience of indirect flights.

One thing to consider is whether extra checks may take place due to COVID in which case I would want a bit longer.

It's a bit tight but check the airlines schedule between Phl and MCO. I have found that some routes in the USA have flights every hour and they will just bump you to the next one.

Probably OK if you have no delays and don't arrive to a full arrivals hall, and are not sitting at the back of the plane.

I would be looking for a bit longer !

We've got 1 hour 50 on October. It's tight but manageable.

As long as it's the same airline then it's a matter for them to get you onto the next available flight. Although, that might be indirect too so you might get another hop. American seem to fly every 2 hours to Orlando.

The problem with rushing through Phili is you'll miss the rocking chairs which I've never understood why they are there

Its a roll the bones scenario - one day yes another no chance.. The only plus is if your there early enough in the afternoon its likely they'll find another flight to hop you on...

We had 3 hours at atlanta which is 1 hour from MCO and it still wasnt enough as I said in Twinkys post here https://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/sho... php?t=1172202

thanks everyone

the flight is man - phl - tpa
There seem to be 3 flights with BA from phl - tpa but I do believe that they use other airlines if it is their fault you miss your flight.

The options are 1 hr 45 mins
4 hrs 15 mins
6 hrs 59 mins

My worry is because it easter break that the flights would be very full if we missed the connection.

I am torn because arriving at 9:30 pm (the 4 hr 15 connection) is very late UK time (we have 2 kids age 10 and 7) and there's an hr and a half drive from tampa to kissimmee

but on the other hand if we missed the connection we could be alot worse off...

decisions...decisions

We flew MAN - PHL - MCO a couple of years ago with a 1 hour 50 min layover and missed our connecting flight due to an issue at Manchester making us miss our take off slot. We were travelling on a BA/AA code share and the AA staff at Philly we’re great booking us on the next flight. From memory we had to wait a couple of extra hours which wasn’t ideal but if the price was right we’d probably do it again!
