My children are performing at DLP Oct 2020. Soooooo excited
Just what it says above really. DD is 12 and really really wants to be a dancer. She was speaking to the show team on a recent cruise and they gave her loads of advice and one of them said about how amazing it was to perform at DLP and how it can go on her college application. Lo and behold we get back off holiday and there is an email from her Musical Theatre group director saying that they are considering auditioning to perform there. My DS also goes to the group and so we put both their names down and they worked really hard with the group on their audition piece and found out 2 days ago that they got in.
For anyone who has been under these circumstances do you have any advice? I'm so excited. We go to WDW next Aug and so I'm probably going to have to sell a kidney to fund all of 2020's Disney but hey-ho you only live once and we all love beans on toast 😂😂😂 |

Yes my girls have danced at DLP twice now and it’s been amazing. They also undertook a workshop with a Disney choreographer 👍👍
Such a great experience for them and truly fabulous to see them on the stage there.

My Daughter is performing there in November next year with her theatre group - she's ridiculously excited too. They did it a couple of years ago but it was just before my youngest was born so we couldn't do it - i promised her if they ever did it again we'd go so we are!

Anyone knows how this works? Do the groups who send in videos always get invited? How do park tickets and accommodation work?

Ours is all booked through "Take me to the magic" - being seasoned DLP visitors I found the prices to be astronomical compared to what I could have booked myself (it's costing over £1500 for 3nights at SQL for just my 13 year old and I in November 2020.
But you have to remember that you're paying for the experience too, for her to be able to walk the parade route and perform on the stage that she's watched Disney characters perform on will be an experience she'll remember forever. |
